BJP Raises Alarm Over Poor Conditions at Chennai Government Hospital

Chennai, July 6 — The Tamil Nadu BJP has raised serious concerns about poor conditions at the Government R.S.R.M. Hospital in Royapuram, Chennai. BJP spokesperson A.N.S. Prasad urged the state Health Minister Ma. Subramanian to take urgent action.

The hospital, known for maternity care, is reportedly doing painting work near the maternity ward. This has caused loud noise and dust, affecting newborns and mothers.

According to BJP, four babies developed allergic reactions, likely due to unhygienic conditions caused by the painting and cleaning work.

Prasad blamed the hospital for failing to keep the area clean and safe, especially for vulnerable patients like newborns and post-surgery mothers.

He demanded an investigation and called on the Health Minister and Secretary to inspect the hospital. He also appealed to Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to ensure all government hospitals are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
