Over 1 Lakh Engineering Seats Up for Grabs in Telangana – Here’s the Breakdown
Telangana has over 1.07 lakh engineering seats available across 171 colleges, announced the State Council of Higher Education. Of these, 70% (76,795 seats) will be filled through the Convenor quota.
The web options process for TGEAPCET-2025 counselling has started and will continue until July 10, with certificate verification ending on July 8. So far, 76,494 candidates have verified their certificates, and 95,654 have paid the processing fee and booked slots.
There are 99,610 seats in 148 private unaided colleges, while government and university-affiliated colleges offer 7,608 seats.

Courses like Agricultural Engineering and Metallurgy have very limited seats (30–42). Officials advised students to select as many options as possible to improve their chances in the first round.
