Search Continues for Missing Workers After Deadly Factory Blast
Eight workers are still missing a week after a huge fire and explosion at a Sigachi Industries factory near Hyderabad. Rescue teams are searching the debris for their remains.
So far, 42 people have died, including two who passed away in the hospital recently. Out of 143 workers at the site, 61 are safe, 33 were injured, and 14 have left the hospital.
Families of the missing workers are waiting anxiously for updates. DNA tests helped identify two more victims. The company has promised ₹1 crore compensation for each victim’s family and will cover medical costs for the injured.
The factory makes a powder used in medicines. Authorities are sending identified bodies back to their hometowns with police escorts.
