SEMICON India 2025 to Showcase India’s Growing Semiconductor Power

The Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) announced that SEMICON India 2025 will show how India is becoming a trusted and strong hub for semiconductors and microelectronics. The event will take place from September 2 to 4 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi.

SEMICON India 2025 is jointly organised by the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) and global industry body SEMI. It will bring together government leaders, global investors, industry experts, startups, and universities to discuss India’s role in the world’s semiconductor supply chain.

This is the fourth edition of the event and will see larger participation than last year. For the first time, countries like Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia will set up pavilions to display their semiconductor capabilities.

The event will also include eight country roundtables to build business and technology partnerships between India and other nations. Over 300 companies from 18 countries will exhibit, covering the entire semiconductor value chain – from raw materials and design to manufacturing and systems.

To support skill development, there will be training programmes, upskilling sessions, and career counselling for students and engineers. A Semiconductor Design Startup Pavilion will encourage chip design startups to showcase their ideas.

Nine Indian states will participate this year, compared to six in 2024, showing strong state-level support for semiconductor growth.

The event will feature a three-day conference where top global CEOs and experts will share insights on manufacturing, innovation, and industry trends. Special forums and workforce development zones will strengthen India’s talent pipeline and help achieve its vision of becoming a global semiconductor powerhouse.
