Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma launched Bharat Taxi services in Jaipur, introducing the cooperative-based ride-hailing platform in the state capital.
The company said passengers will get fares around 10–15 per cent lower than traditional app-based taxi services, with no surge pricing during peak hours. It also claimed users can save about Rs 25 on shorter rides.
Minister of State for Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol said Bharat Taxi marks a major shift in the cooperative sector by making drivers stakeholders and giving them ownership benefits. He said the platform has over eight lakh registered drivers and passengers nationwide.
Chief Minister Sharma highlighted the role of cooperatives in creating employment and supporting entrepreneurship, saying Rajasthan is working to strengthen the sector.
Bharat Taxi aims to provide affordable rides for customers while improving driver earnings through its cooperative ownership model.
