CSK Star Suresh Raina to Make Acting Debut in Tamil Cricket Film

Chennai, July 5– Former Indian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) favorite Suresh Raina, also known as ‘Chinna Thala’, is set to make his acting debut in a Tamil film based on cricket.

Raina made this announcement during a video call at the launch event of a new Tamil film production house. The film is focused on cricket and will be Raina’s first project in the Tamil movie industry.

Raina, currently on vacation in Amsterdam with his family, said he chose the film because the story is close to his heart and cricket has always had strong support from Tamil Nadu fans. He praised the production team and said Tamil Nadu was the perfect place to start such a film.

He also shared light-hearted moments during the event, joking that he would be a romantic singer in a film – playing guitar and enjoying rasam rice with his teammates. CSK player Shivam Dube, who also joined the event, said he would be a romantic hero if he ever acted in a movie.

The movie aims to blend cricket, emotion, and Tamil culture – with Raina bringing his real-life experience to the screen.
