Chipmaker Nvidia was the most traded US stock among Indian investors in April-June 2025 (Q2), according to Vested Finance’s Global Investing Behaviour Report.

Nvidia recently reached a $4 trillion market value. It captured 6.4% of total buy volume and 8.3% of total sell volume on the Vested platform, showing strong buying and profit-booking activity.

Alphabet, Google’s parent company, saw the highest net inflows with a 113% rise in unique investors during the same period.

Other popular stocks included Tesla, AMD (Advanced Micro Devices), and Apple, reflecting investor interest in innovation-focused companies.

Duolingo’s investor base grew by 2,255%, while healthcare giants UnitedHealth Group and Novo Nordisk saw over 500% growth in investor numbers.

The report noted that Indian retail investors increased their global investments in Q2, despite US market volatility and tariff issues. Buy volumes rose by 20.47% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ). Assets under management (AUM) surged 35.4% QoQ and 140% year-on-year (YoY).

Investors also showed strong interest in ETFs for diversification. The number of investors in Invesco NASDAQ 100 ETF (QQQM) rose by 131%, iShares Semiconductor ETF (SOXX) by 101%, and Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) by 47%.

Small-cap ETFs saw even bigger growth. Investors in iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM) grew by 622%, while iShares Core S&P Small-Cap ETF (IJR) saw a 222% rise.

Indian investors also looked beyond the US for opportunities. As the US dollar weakened and central bank policies differed, they explored investments in Europe, China, and Brazil through ETFs.

The report said Q2 was not just about chasing hot stocks but building strong portfolios with discipline. Indian investors focused on sectors like healthcare, semiconductors, small-caps, and artificial intelligence, showing maturity in their global investment approach.
